A graduate of the prestigious University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) and a Fellowship in Neurosurgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), his exceptional skills and dedication were further acknowledged with a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) for his research on brain aneurysms.
